In order to insert a text item, click on the corresponding icon (the second green plus sign) to open the “Text Options” window.

The first thing you can configure is the text you want displayed on the screen; in the “Text” text field, you can insert any characters you would like, keeping in mind that they will be displayed on one line in the show output.
When choosing a font for the text item, you have several options available such that the limitations present are minimal. You can directly select a font from the drop down list, if the font you want to use is a web-compatible, popular one; moreover, by pressing the "Download Additional Fonts" button, you can download a pack of fonts (compatible with your operating system) you can use with our product, for free!

Another way to use a more rare font is to import it by pressing the “Import Fonts” button; if you want to read more about this, please visit the “How to use YOUR OWN fonts with Creative DW Image Show PRO” tutorial. Importing fonts implies the usage of a Flash extension - the "Export Fonts Utility" tool - which has to be installed on your computer (you receive this extension for free when downloading Creative DW Image Show PRO); the only requirement for this is to have Adobe Flash (8 or a higher version) installed.
After you choose the desired font, you can also select a character set. We embedded in our product two character sets for the fonts available – Basic Latin and Extended Latin. For the other character sets, you need to use the Import Fonts option.
The other options are mainly formatting-related; you can bold or italicize your text, increase/decrease its size and letter spacing, change its color and opacity.
The last option available is "Apply settings to all texts", an option which is meant to simplify the volume of work with the product; using it, you can set all the parameters except "Text" to be identical in all the text items from your show.
