If you're using built in skins you can have the menu set up just by filling in the parameters on the current tab. The other tabs contain more in depth customization parameters and you'll probably have no need to change them.
As you can see it has two main areas: one where you can set the Menu structure and one where you can choose the skin you want to use.

Defining the menu structure is a very easy job, but for more details on this topic, please consult the “How to define a menu structure” help file.
In the Menu Style section you are asked to choose a skin (4) and define its style by changing the colors using the given color pickers (5)(6). For both the menu and the submenu the user can set a main color and a highlight color (that will be used for the highlighted elements). Styling is applicable to all skins that come in the package, but not for user-defined skins.
If you want to use your own skin, do write the name of your skin in the text area (4). For more information about skins, please read the “Create a custom skin” help files.
Once the tab is filled in, the parameters from other tabs are filled with default values depending on the chosen skin.
After filling in the current tab you have to option to remain with the default values that are automatically generated, or go change the layout options, the menu animations or the text related properties.
