How to Define a Menu Structure

In the upper-left side of General tab you can find a tree view that displays the menu structure. Each item in the tree represents a menu button. Below the tree view you can find a toolbar that you can use in order to add/edit/delete the menu items that are displayed in the tree.

Here is a short description of each of the buttons in the tool bar:

ADD - Add a new item
EDIT - Edit an existing item
DELETE - Remove an existing item
UP - Move the selected item up
DOWN - Move the selected item down
LEFT - Move the selected item left
RIGHT - Move the selected item right
DUPLICATE - Duplicate the selected item
ENLARGE - Open the large view of the menu structure

In order to add a new item in the menu structure you have to:

  1. click the ADD button in the toolbar
  2. fill in the form (you can leave the URL, target and ID empty if you don’t need them)
  3. click OK

 

In order to edit an item in the menu structure you have to:

  1. select an item in the tree view and click the EDIT button in the toolbar ->the large view will open with the item you want to edit selected.
  2. make changes in the lower-side form
  3. click the Update Values button

 

In order to remove an item from the menu structure you have to:

  1. select an item in the tree view and click the DELETE button in the toolbar

 

In order to duplicate an item in the menu structure you have to select an item in the tree view and click the DUPLICATE button in the toolbar

In order to change the order of the buttons in the menu you will have to use the UP and DOWN buttons after selecting the item you want to move.

In order to create submenus or change the level of a button you can use the LEFT and RIGHTbuttons after selecting the item you want to move.

 

Note* It is recommended to use absolute paths when defining the menu structure so when a change is made, by selecting the "Update all pages " check box it will automatically change the paths in all the pages so no manual changes have to be made.
